{Breckenridge, CO} – CLC Traveling Trunk Show

By Karen:

I went to Breckenridge, CO to set up our pop-up shop at Vintage Sweet and Chic – the first stop in our traveling trunk show series for 2012. Vintage Sweet and Chic has a great, eclectic assortment, of vintage furs, on trend clothes, and cute knick knacks for the home. It’s owned by Katie Meyer and Ann Csincsak (you may recognize Ann from ABC’s Bachelor Season 13). As soon as I entered the store i knew our pieces would fit right in. They had wonderful vintage looking fixtures, even down to the the clothes racks – they were silver pipes – very cool vibe. The best part was the cute candy assortment right behind the counter.

Breckenridge, CO is a 2 hour drive from Denver, CO. It was a nice treat to drive through the mountains to this quaint town – the background of snow capped mountains was really a sight to see.

Once you get to the town of Breckenridge, you know you’re in a whole nother world, christmas lights still line the streets -which seem appropriate since there were snow flurries that day. As if adding to the ambiance of the city, right before I got into the store, there were these 2 beautiful huskies curled together. (Later came to find out they were Ann’s dogs). As soon as I enter the store, I see Ann’s husband Jesse (winner of ABC’s Bachelorette Season 4 ), pushing a stroller with their little son, Noah. Right away he welcomed my husband and I with a big hug. Ann looking gorg in a printed tunic with black tights and boots looked even more amazing in person. I can’t even tell you how beautiful this family is. And the best part? They were so down to earth. I really wanted to put them in my pocket and take them home with me so we could have glasses of wine and talk the night away. Haha.

Needless to say, I had a great time meeting great people and visiting a town that I’ve never been to. Every shop i walked into, i was always greeted with a warm hello. I loved the hospitality and hope to be able to make a longer visit next time.

PS  – just HAD to include a picture of the sushi dinner I was able to enjoy with the hubby in Denver before we caught our flight back home.  It was a nice dinner sans baby where we didn’t have to rush or worry about baby spilling soy sauce everywhere 🙂
